千灾以消百病痊 

不惮虎狼之凶残

亦以却老年永延 

The First Chapter of Shangqing

In front of the Purple Clouds and Illusory Emperor of Shangqing, stands the Jade Morning Lord of the Great Tao. He resides in leisure and composes poetry in seven-character lines using the essence of the Rui Zhu flower.

He scatters and transforms the five elements, altering the myriad gods. This is known as the "Nei Pian" of the Yellow Court. His heart's qin music triples and dances, giving birth to the embryonic immortals.

The nine breaths reflect the brightness of the heavens, and the divine canopy of the child god emits purple smoke. This is known as the "Yu Shu," which can be studied to the fullest.

Chanting it ten thousand times will elevate one beyond the Three Heavens, vanquishing a thousand calamities and curing a hundred diseases. One will not fear the ferocity of tigers and wolves, and will also extend one's youthful years.

上有章第二

上有魂灵下关元 

左为少阳右太阴 

后有密户前生门

出日入月呼吸存 

元气所合列宿分 

紫烟上下三素云

灌溉五华植灵根 

七液洞流冲庐间 

回紫抱黄入丹田

幽室内明照阳门 

The Second Chapter of Shangqing

Above resides the Spirit of Souls and below is the Guan Yuan, with the left being the Shaoyang and the right being the Taiyin. Behind is the secret gate, and in front is the birth gate.

Breathing in the sun and exhaling the moon, the vital essence combines and the stars align. The purple smoke rises and falls, creating three pure clouds.

Irrigating the Five Flowers and planting the spiritual roots, the seven fluids flow through the caves and surge between the mansions. The returning purple embraces the yellow, entering the elixir field.

In the secluded room, the inner light illuminates the Yang Gate.

口为章第三

口为玉池太和官 

漱咽灵液灾不干 

体生光华气香兰

却灭百邪玉炼颜 

审能修之登广寒 

昼夜不寐乃成真

雷鸣电激神泯泯

The Third Chapter of Kou Wei

The mouth is the Jade Pool of the Grand Harmony Court, rinsing and gargling with the spiritual fluid to ward off calamities. The body generates radiance, and the aura is fragrant like orchids. Extinguish the hundred evils and refine the jade-like complexion. Those who are able to cultivate and refine it will ascend to the Broad Cold Palace, and attain true realization without sleep day or night. Thunder roars and lightning strikes, and the spirits are in awe.

丹青绿条翠灵柯

七蕤玉龠闭两扉 

重扇金阙密枢机 

玄泉幽阙高崔巍

三田之中精气微 

娇女窈窕翳霄晖 

重堂焕焕明八威

天庭地关列釜斤 

灵台盘固永不衰 

The Fourth Chapter of Huang Ting

Within the Yellow Court, the person wears a robe of brocade, and the purple flowers fly like skirts, with clouds and mist surrounding. The red, green, blue, and yellow strokes of the spiritual brush are like the branches of the green ling tree. The seven dragon-beaded jade flutes are shut in the two doors. The heavy golden door leaves and the closed central pivot of the Jin Que palace are the key to the secret mechanism. The deep and secluded Xuan spring is towering and precipitous. The essence in the three fields is faint. The beautiful and graceful young lady screens the sun and covers the moon. The splendid hall is bright with the radiance of the Eight Majesties. The heavenly palace and earthly gate are arranged with cauldrons and axes. The spiritual platform is firmly fixed and will never decline.

中池章第五

中池内神服赤珠 

丹锦云袍带虎符 

横津三寸灵所居

隐芝翳郁自相扶

Chapter Five: Middle Pool

Within the middle pool, the gods wear red beads and tiger symbols, with cloud robes of cinnabar silk. The three-inch spirits reside in the crossroads. Concealed immortals support each other in the shaded groves.

天中章第六

天中之岳精谨修 

云宅既清玉帝游 

通利道路无终休

眉号华盖覆明珠 

九幽日月洞空无 

宅中有真常衣丹

审能见之无疾患 

赤珠灵裙华茜粲 

舌下膺玄生死岸

出青入玄二气焕 

子若遇之升天汉 

Chapter Six: Celestial Middle

The essence of the Celestial Middle is carefully cultivated. The Jade Emperor travels to the Pure Palace of Clouds. The Daoist path is unceasing, with no end to the path. The Emperor's name is Huagai, and he covers the bright pearl. The sun and moon are empty in the Nine Hells. The true constant garment and the red beads on the spiritual skirt shine brilliantly. Under the tongue, the mysterious shore of life and death is held. The two qi of blue and black radiate. If one encounters it, they will ascend to the heavens.

至道章第七

至道不烦诀存真 

泥丸百节皆有神 

发神苍华字太元

脑神精根字泥丸 

眼神明上字英玄 

鼻神玉垄字灵坚

耳神空闲字幽田 

舌神通命字正伦 

齿神峨峰字罗千

一面之神宗泥丸 

泥丸九真皆有房 

方圆一寸处此中

内服紫衣飞罗裳 

但思一部寿无穷 

非各别住俱脑中

列位次坐向外方 

所存在心自相当 

Chapter Seven: Supreme Dao

The supreme Dao is not disturbed, and the true essence remains. The mud pill and one hundred joints all have spirits. The god Canghua is represented by the Taiyuan character. The brain god's essence and roots are represented by the mud pill character. The eye god's brightness is represented by the English Xuan character. The nose god's jade ridge is represented by the Lingjian character. The ear god's empty idleness is represented by the Youtian character. The tongue god's communication of destiny is represented by the Zhenglun character. The teeth god's towering peak is represented by the Luoqian character. The spirit of one side is the mud pill. The mud pill and the nine true ones all have chambers. The center of one inch is within this. Wear the purple clothes and fly the Luo robes. Only think of the book of longevity without end. Do not dwell on individual differences, and the mind will be equal.

心神章第八

心神丹元字守灵 

肺神皓华字虚成 

肝神龙烟字台明

翳郁导烟主浊清 

肾神玄冥字育婴 

脾神常在字魂停

胆神龙曜字威明 

六腑五脏神体精 

皆在心内运天经

昼夜存之自长生

Chapter Eight: Heart and Spirit

The essence of the heart and spirit is guarded by the Ling character. The essence of the lungs is empty and transparent, represented by the Haohua character. The essence of the liver is smoky and represented by the Taiming character. The guiding of the murky and the clear is done by the dark smoke. The essence of the kidneys is profound and dark, represented by the Yuying character. The essence of the spleen is constantly present, represented by the Hunting character. The essence of the gallbladder is bright and represented by the Weiming character. The spirits of the six viscera and five zang all contain the essence of the mind, which operates the celestial meridians within. It thrives day and night, and grows constantly.

肺部之官似华盖 

下有童子坐玉阙 

七元之子主调气

外应中岳鼻脐位 

素锦衣裳黄云带 

喘息呼吸体不快

急存白元和六气 

神仙久视无灾害 

用之不已形不滞

Chapter Nine: Lung Interstice

The organ of the lungs is like a canopy. Beneath it, a child sits on the jade terrace. The seven elements control the breath, and the external corresponds to the middle peak and the navel. The plain clothes are covered with a yellow cloud belt. Breathing is difficult and the body is not comfortable. Quickly store up the White Yuanhe and the six qi. The immortals have long viewed it without disaster. Its use is limitless, and it never stagnates the body.

心部章第十

心部之官莲含华 

下有童子丹元家 

主适寒热荣卫和

丹锦飞裳披玉罗 

金铃朱带坐婆裟 

调血理命身不枯

外应口舌吐五华 

临绝呼之亦登苏 

久久行之飞太霞

Chapter Ten - Heart

The official of the heart is Lianhanhua, below whom sits a young boy from the Dan Yuan family. He is in charge of regulating heat and cold, and promoting health and well-being. He wears a flying red silk robe and a jade belt, and sits in a robe made of golden bells and red silk. He regulates blood and controls life, and his external correspondence is with the mouth and tongue, where the five petals are spoken. When facing death, one can call on him and ascend to Su. If practiced for a long time, one can fly to the Tai Xia realm.

肝部章第十一

肝部之中翠重里 

下有青童神公子 

主诸关镜聪明始

青锦披裳佩玉铃 

和制魂魄津液平 

外应眼目日月清

百疗所钟存无英 

同用七日自充盈 

垂绝念神死复生

摄魂还魄永无倾

Chapter Eleven - Liver

The official in the liver is Cui Zhongli, below whom sits a young godly prince. He is in charge of regulating the Jing and Cong channels and promoting intelligence. He wears a green silk robe and carries a jade bell, and his regulation of the spirit and essence results in balance of fluids. His external correspondence is with the eyes, where the sun and moon are clear. There is no illness that he cannot cure, and after seven days of practice, one can become full of vitality. When facing death, one can retrieve the soul and the spirit, and never fall into decay.

肾部章第十二

肾部之宫玄阴圃 

中有童子冥上玄 

主诸六府九液源

外应两耳百液津 

苍锦云衣舞龙潘 

上致的霞日月烟

百病千灾急当存 

两部水王对生门 

使人长生升九天

Chapter Twelve - Kidneys

Within the palace of the kidneys, the mysterious Yin Garden,

Sits the divine child of darkness, the supreme and profound.

Master of the nine fluids and six organs of the source,

Externally manifesting in the two ears and the hundred fluid essences.

Clothed in azure silk, dancing with the dragon and the panther,

Ascending to the ethereal realm of the sun and the moon.

In times of distress and illness, seek the two lords of water,

Who dwell at the gate of life and bring longevity to those who follow.

脾部章第十三

脾部之官属戌已 

中有明童黄裳里 

消谷散气摄牙齿

是为太仓两明童 

坐在金合城九重 

方圆一寸命门中

主调百谷五朱香 

辟却虚赢无病伤 

外应尺宅气色芳

光华所生以表明 

黄锦玉衣带虎章 

注念三老子轻翔

长生高仙远死殃 

Chapter Thirteen - Spleen

Within the palace of the spleen, governed by the Dog,

Stands the bright child in yellow garb, who disperses food and regulates qi.

Known as the two bright storehouses, they reside in the golden city with nine gates,

Within the inch of the life gate, they control the hundred grains and the five fragrances.

Dispelling emptiness and preventing sickness and injury,

Externally manifesting in the color and luster of the wrist pulse.

Born of radiance and shining brightness, clothed in yellow silk and tiger belt,

Focus on the Three Immortals and soar lightly, for they bring longevity to those who follow.

胆部章第十四

胆部之宫六府精 

中有童子曜威明 

雷电八振扬玉旌

龙旗横天掷火铃 

主诸气力摄虎兵 

外应眼童鼻柱间

脑发相扶亦俱鲜 

九色锦衣绿华裙 

佩金带玉龙虎文

能存成明乘庆云 

役使万神朝三元 

Chapter Fourteen - Gallbladder

Within the palace of the gallbladder's six mansions,

Resides a youthful figure shining with a majestic aura.

With eight thunderous strikes, he raises his jade banner,

And throws his fiery bell, with his dragon flag unfurled.

Mastering the power of energy, he controls his tiger troops,

And the area between the nose and the mouth is vitalized.

With a nine-colored brocade robe and a green-hued skirt,

Adorned with gold belts and jade dragons and tigers, adorned with patterns.

He can maintain bright celestial authority, commanding the myriad spirits,

And serve the Three Supreme Ones, in court with the myriad gods.

碑长章第十五

脾长一尺掩太仓 

中部老君冶明堂 

厥字灵元名混康

治人百病消谷粮 

黄衣紫带龙虎章 

长枯益命赖君王

三呼我名神自通 

三老同坐各有朋 

或精或胎别执方

桃孩合延生华芒 

男女徊尤有桃康 

道父道母对相望

师父师母丹玄乡 

可用存思登虚空 

殊途一会归要终

闭塞三关握固停 

含漱金醴吞玉英 

遂至不饥三虫亡

心意常和致欣昌 

五岳之云气彭亨

保灌玉庐以自偿

五形完坚无灾殃

Chapter Fifteen - Spleen

The spleen is a foot long and covers the Grand Repository.

Within the center is Laojun's divine furnace hall.

The character "Jue" is engraved upon the Lingyuan stone,

Healing people's hundreds of illnesses, and consuming the grain of the valley.

He wears yellow clothes, adorned with purple belts, and dragon and tiger patterns.

His longevity increases, thanks to the blessings of kings.

Three calls of my name, and my spirit is enlightened,

Sitting together with the Three Supreme Ones, each with their own companions.

Whether in essence or embryonic form, they hold their own methods,

The peaches bloom, extending their radiance, and men and women are blessed.

Taoist father and mother face each other in contemplation,

Master and mistress of the Danxuan region.

By meditating and visualizing, one can ascend to the void,

Although the journey may be different, the destination is the same.

By sealing the three gates and firmly grasping one's breath,

One can contain and swallow the golden liquor, and consume the jade essence.

Finally, one will reach a state of not being hungry, and the three worms will perish.

With constant harmonization of the heart and will, joy and prosperity are achieved.

The cloud and qi of the Five Sacred Mountains will be protected,

And the jade mansions will be safe and sound, without disasters or calamities.

上睹章第十六

上睹三元如连珠 

落落明景照九隅 

五灵夜烛焕八区

子存内皇与我游 

身披风衣衔虎符 

一至不久升虚无

方寸之中念深藏 

不方不圆闭牖窗 

三神还精老方壮

魂魄内守不争竞 

神生腹中衔玉 

灵注幽阙那得丧

琳条万寻可荫仗 

三魂自宁帝书命 

Chapter Sixteen

The upper view shows the Three Realms like a string of pearls,

the brilliant scenery shining in all directions.

The Five Spirits illuminate the eight districts at night,

and I accompany the Inner Emperor on a tour.

Clothed in a wind robe and holding a tiger talisman,

we ascend to emptiness without delay.

Deep thoughts are stored in the square inch of the mind,

and the window with no shape or form is closed.

The Three Spirits return to the original vitality, old yet vigorous,

the soul and the spirit are peacefully guarded within.

The Divine Being is born with a jade in its mouth,

and the spirit flows into the mysterious realm, never to be lost.

With countless precious treasures that can provide shade,

the Three Spirits are peaceful and the Emperor's decree is received.

灵台章第十七 

灵台郁蔼望黄野 

三寸异室有上下 

间阙营卫高玄受

洞房紫极灵门户 

是昔太上告我者 

左神公子发神语

右有白元并立外 

明堂金匮玉房间 

上清其人当吾前

黄裳子丹气频烦 

借问何在两眉端 

内侠日月列宿陈

七曜九元冠生门

Chapter Seventeen

The Lingtai is lush and verdant, overlooking the Huangye.

In this three-inch space, there is an upper and lower level.

The guards are stationed at the gates, and Gao Xuan is in charge.

The Purple Pole of the bridal chamber is the portal of the Lingtai.

The Great Highest Above spoke to me in the past,

with the Left Divine Prince speaking divine words,

and the White Yuan standing beside him.

In the bright hall, the golden chest and jade rooms are between them,

and the person from the Upper Pure is in front of us.

The Yellow Cloth Child is frequently annoyed by the red qi,

may I ask where it is located between the two eyebrows?

The stars of the sun, moon, and constellations are arranged within,

and the Seven Luminaries and Nine Elements crown the gate of life.

三关章第十八

三关之中精气深 

九微之内幽且阴

口为天关精神机 

足为地关生命靡 

手为人关把盛衰

Chapter Eighteen

Within the Three Passes lies profound essence,

Within the Nine Weis, deep and obscure.

The Mouth is the Heaven Gate of spirit and vitality,

The Feet, the Earth Gate of life and death,

The Hands, the Man Gate holding prosperity and decline.

若得章第十九

若得三官存玄丹 

太一流珠安昆仑 

重重楼阁十二环

自高自下皆真人 

玉堂绎字尽玄官 

璇玑王衡色兰歼

瞻望童子坐盘恒 

问谁家子在我身 

此人可去入泥龙

千千百百自相连 

一一十十似重山 

云仪五华侠耳门

赤帝黄老与己魂 

三真挟胥共房津 

五斗焕明是七元

日月飞行六合间 

帝乡天中地户端 

面部魂神绵相存

Chapter Nineteen

If you obtain the Xuan Dan of the Three Officials,

The Taiyi Pearls will rest on Kunlun Mountains,

The twelve rings of lofty pavilions,

From high to low, all are true immortals.

Jade halls inscribed with mysterious characters, full of officialdom,

Xuan officials with belts adorned in colors of orchid and chrysanthemum,

Gazing at the eternal sitting of the divine child on the disk,

Asking which family's child is in my body,

This person can go and enter the muddy dragon.

Thousands upon thousands, hundreds upon hundreds, all interconnected,

One by one, ten by ten, like a heavy mountain.

The clouds of the Five Huas at the Gate of the Ears,

The Red Emperor, Yellow Emperor, and my own soul.

The Three True Immortals embrace each other and share a room,

The Five Dou shine brightly and the Seven Elements are present.

The Sun and Moon fly between the Six Harmonies,

The Heavenly Capital at the center of the universe, the Earthly Portal at the edge.

The soul and spirit of the face and body are constantly preserved.

呼吸章第二十

呼吸元气以求仙 

仙公公子已可前 

朱鸟吐缩白石源

结精育胞化生身 

留胎止精可长生 

三气右徊九道明

正一含华乃充盈 

遥望一心如罗星 

金室之下可不倾

延我白首反孩婴

The 20th Chapter of Breathing:

Breathing the primordial qi in pursuit of immortality,

The immortal gentleman is now able to advance.

The vermilion bird spits out and shrinks, and the white stone is the source.

Condense essence to nourish the embryo and transform the body,

Retain the fetus to preserve essence for longevity.

The three energies circulate to the right, and the nine paths become clear.

The Zhengyi School's "Hanhua Nei" is then fulfilled,

Gazing afar, the heart is like a star.

The Golden Chamber must not be overturned,

Extend my white hair and return to infancy.

琼室章第二十一

琼室之中太素集 

泥九夫人当中立 

长谷玄乡绕郊邑

六龙散飞难分别 

长生至慎房中急 

何为死作令神泣

忽之祸乡三灵及 

但当吸气录子精 

寸田尺宅可治生

若当决海百读倾 

叶去树枯失青青 

气亡液漏非已形

专闭御景乃长宁 

保我泥龙三奇灵 

恬淡闭视内自明

物物不干泰而平 

悫矣匪事老复丁 

思咏玉书太上清

The 21st Chapter of the Jade Chamber:

The essence of the Jade Chamber is gathered within,

Lady Nine Mud stands among them.

The Xuanxiang of Changgu surrounds the outskirts,

The six dragons fly off, hard to distinguish.

Be cautious when entering the Chamber of Eternal Life,

Why should we die and make the gods weep?

Suddenly, misfortune befalls the three spirits,

But when inhaling, record the essence of the child.

Even an inch of field can yield a lifetime,

If you decide to pour the sea, you'll read a hundred times.

When the leaves fall, the trees wither and lose their green,

When energy is gone, fluids leak without form.

Seclude yourself and control your surroundings, then you will have peace,

Protect the three strange spirits of the Niyulong and be clear within.

Nothing will disturb you, and everything will be peaceful and harmonious.

Be upright and virtuous, and do not worry about old age or becoming poor.

Contemplate and recite the Jade Book of the Supreme Clarity.

常念章第二十二

常念三房相通达 

洞得视见无内外 

存漱五牙不饥渴

神华执巾六丁谒 

急守精室勿妄泄 

闭而宝之可长活

起自形中初不阔 

三官近在易隐括 

虚无寂寂空中素

使形如是不当污 

九室正虚神明舍 

存思百念视节度

六府修治勿令故 

行自翱翔入天路 

Chang Nianzhang, Chapter 22

Chang Nian's third chamber is open and unobstructed. He sees both the inside and outside clearly. He nourishes his five organs and is never hungry or thirsty.

Shenhua holds his towel and pays his respects to the six Ding. He guards his essence and does not release it recklessly. If he closes it and treasures it, he can live long.

He starts from the beginning of his form, which is not broad. The three officials are near and easy to conceal. The emptiness is silent and clear.

If he keeps his form like this, he will not become dirty. The nine chambers are empty, and the gods abandon them. He holds his thoughts and pays attention to his behavior.

He repairs and cultivates his six mansions and does not allow them to become old. He walks and soars into the road of heaven.

治生章第二十三

治生之道了不烦 

但修洞玄与玉篇 

兼行形中八景神

二十四真出自然 

高拱无为魂魄安 

清静神见与我言

安在紫房帏幔间 

立坐室外三五玄 

烧香接手玉华前

共入太室璇玑门 

高研恬淡道之园 

内神密盼尽睹真

真人在己莫问邻 

何处远索示因缘 

Chapter 23: The Way of Managing Life

The way of managing life is not complicated, just focus on studying the Dongxuan and Yupian. Practice the eight views of the gods within your own form.

The twenty-four truths emerge naturally, and the soul is at peace in effortless action. The clear and quiet spirits speak to me.

I am at peace in the purple chamber, between the curtains and screens. I sit with three or five friends outside the room, burning incense and offering it to the jade emperor.

Together, we enter the Tai Shi Xuan Ji Gate, studying the tranquil path in the garden. The inner spirits eagerly await to see the truth.

Do not inquire about your neighbors' attainment of the truth. Seek out the cause and conditions of your own path, no matter how far it may be.

隐影章第二十四

隐影藏形与世殊 

含气养精口如朱 

带执性命守虚无

名大上清死录除 

三神之乐由隐居 

倏欻游遨无遗忧

羽服一整八风驱 

控驾三素乘晨霞 

金辇正立从玉舆

何不登山诵我书 

郁郁窃窍真人墟 

入山何难故踌躇

人间纷纷臭帑如

Concealing shadows, hiding shapes and the world, holding qi and nourishing essence, mouth like vermilion, holding on to life and guarding nothingness

The death record of the famous Shangqing eradicates the joy of the three gods from living in seclusion and wandering around without worry

Feather clothes are full of eight winds, control the driving three elements to ride the morning glow, the golden chariot is standing upright from the jade jade

Chapter 27 of Xuan Yuan
